Noel Homework Tips

• Every student has a planner which is used to teach students Responsibility.

Please check and sign student planners every day.

• Noel students are required to read 20 minutes at home every day.

Ask your child questions about what they read.

• Make sure your child has a quiet, well-lit place to do homework.

Set a routine time to do homework and avoid distractions such television.

• Be positive about homework.

The attitude you express about homework will be the attitude your child acquires.

• When your child asks for help, provide guidance, not answers.

Too much help teaches your child that when the going gets rough, someone will do the work for him or her.

• Reward progress in homework.

If your child is being successful in homework completion and is working hard, celebrate success to reinforce the positive effort.
